After attending Darlington and then Newcastle Catering Colleges, Alex followed his passion for food at Headlam Hall Hotel, near Darlington - a prestigious country house hotel, at this exclusive venue Alex enjoyed the delights of Headlam for over 5 years. Understanding the need for beautifully prepared and unique menus, Alex embarked on starting his own specialist company in 2003 - alexander macmurray - specialist caterer. With his wife Jeanette, whose experience in event management and creating that special atmosphere to match the unique menu offer, thanks to over 20 years experience at local country house hotels including Headlam Hall Hotel and Judges at Kirklevington Hall, together they bring a unique blend of character and individuality to everything they do.
