My dear if you could give me a cup of tea to clear my muddle of a head I should better understand your affairs. Tea to the English is really a picnic indoors. Sir, I did not count your glasses of wine, why should you number up my cups of tea? If you are excited, it will calm you. Tea! Bless ordinary everyday afternoon tea!
After the ceremony and before the main reception, a traditional English tea was served. Tables were elegantly dressed with freshly laundered cloths. Posies of flowers were placed intermittently between large and small cake stands and elegant bunting bedecked the walls. Delicious homemade cakes were on display along with plates of freshly cut sandwiches. Tea was served in china cups and guests chattered whilst the bride and groom were being photographed. There were no concerns as to how long the happy couple posed for their photos as everyone was relaxed and taking pleasure in the elegance of Afternoon Tea.
